Over the past year, Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital has experienced tremendous growth and success in our missions of clinical care, research, and education, while continuing to navigate the challenges associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. Among our accomplishments:

  • Recognition by U.S. News & World Report in its 2021-22 “America’s Best Children’s Hospitals” guidebook, with rankings in Diabetes & Endocrinology, Gastroenterology & GI Surgery, Nephrology, and Neurology & Neurosurgery

  • Recruitment of new Division Chiefs in Endocrinology (Joan Han, MD), General Pediatrics (Kecia Carroll, MD, MPH), Hematology-Oncology (Oren Becher, MD), and Newborn Medicine (Courtney Juliano, MD)

  • Continued growth in research with the launch of a pediatric clinical trials office and extramural funding portfolio exceeding $22 million

We look forward in early 2022 to rolling out a new children’s health initiative aimed at uniting and centralizing clinical activity and oversight across all pediatric specialties in the Mount Sinai Health System, including Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital, other Mount Sinai hospital sites, our ambulatory network, and community-based programs. Immediate goals are to focus on expanding multidisciplinary coordinated care and enhancing the patient experience for the children and families who entrust us with their care.
