The Friedman Brain Institute’s (FBI) 13th Annual Neuroscience Retreat, held virtually and in-person last spring, was a welcome event bringing together the entire neuroscience community at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Each year, the Retreat provides faculty, postdocs, and students with an opportunity to share their advances in neuroscience. Topics this year ranged from computational psychiatry, to stress-induced neuroplasticity, and glioblastoma progression.

FBI’s awards ceremony honoring outstanding researchers was a highlight of the Retreat. This year, for the first time, a prize-winning image from FBI’s popular “Call for Images” competition was chosen to be featured on the cover of the journal, Biological Psychiatry.
